  • Be there 45 minutes before game time
  • No coaching from the stands
  • Encourage all players
  • Playing time is earned
  • Coaches will play players where they feel best for team success

Rules:

  • All pool play games are 1 hr. 45 minutes
  • Championship and Consolation bracket play is 1 hr. 50 minute time limit.
  • Championship games in the Championship bracket is 2 hrs.
  • Coach or rep of the winning and losing team must text me the score
  • Teams provide 2 baseballs at the beginning of each game. Preferably Diamond NFHS or equivalent.

High School Federation Rules (USING ONLY BBCOR OR WOOD BATS) with minor exceptions:

  • a. Extra Hitters (EH) and DH are allowed (can hit as many as you want but the lineup must maintain that number throughout the game)
  • b. Courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher are allowed but not mandatory.
  • Must be a bench player or last out if batting your whole lineup. (If you have used up your bench, you cannot use a player in the game to be a courtesy runner unless you are batting your whole roster at the outset of the game.)
  • c. Run Rule (for all games): i. 10 after 4 ii. 8 after 5
  • d. Extra innings will be played unless time limit is up in pool play. Games tied in pool play will count as % win and % loss
  • e. Bracket play games must be played to a winner. After time has expired and the game is tied in bracket play, we will move to modified California Tie-Breaker: Last 3 batters of previous inning occupy the bases and 1 out

Format: Two days of pool play competition followed by two days of championship/consolation elimination play.

 

  • Following completion of initial pool play, teams are seeded (1-32 in 16U division & 1-26 in 15U division) to begin single elimination bracket play.
  • The top 16 teams in each age group will be placed in a championship bracket and the remaining teams will be placed in a consolation bracket.
  • Both brackets of both age groups will be single elimination with a 5th game guaranteed forthose that lose the first elimination game.
  • Water will be provided in dugouts either via water coolers or fountains. Teams supply their own cups. Home team keeps the official scorebook.

Seeding Instructions:

  • At the conclusion of all pool play games on Friday the Championship and Consolation play schedules for both age groups will be posted at www.pasttimebaseball.com
  • Please no phone calls as that information will not be given over the phone and I will have it up roughly 30 minutes after the last game.
  • If we have a possibility of inclement weather then I may call for a meeting on Friday night but at this time have no plans for that.

Pool standings

15U division:

  • Seeds 1-7 (Pool winners with top 2 from Pool F)
  • Seeds 8-13 (2nd Place Pool finishers with 3rd team from Pool F included)
  • Seeds 14-16 (3 wild cards … tie breaking criteria used for all remaining teams)
  • Seeds 17-19 (3rd Place pool finishers and possibly 4th from Pool F)
  • Seeds 20-26 (all remaining teams following tie breaking criteria)

16U division:

  • Seeds 1-8 (Pool winners)
  • Seeds 9-16 (2nd Place Pool Finishers)
  • Seeds 17-24 (3rd Place Pool Finishers)
  • Seeds 25-32 (4th Place Pool Finshers)

If 3 teams are tied in a pool. once the tiebreaker pulls one of the three teams out. head to head becomes the tiebreaker for the two remaining teams followed by the remaining tiebreakers.
